It Truly Doesn't Get Any More Surreal Than This

Parisinsanity_2Are you watching the Paris Hilton ordered-back-to-court, wall-to-wall coverage on TV this morning? I honestly do believe this could be the first foolproof sign of the coming Apocalypse. Watching the chaotic crush of the papparazzi surrounding the squad car after the handcuffed Paris had been shoved inside. Following the slow-speed drive to the courthouse from a chopper in the sky, reminding us of a certain Bronco chase back in 1994. The hyperventilating anchors reporting every move..."She's in the car...She's on her way to court...She's in court...Yes, we understand she is now before the judge...There's an unconfirmed report Paris has asked to use the restroom -- repeat...Asked to use the restroom..."

This, just now on MSNBC: "Oh my God! This is absolutely out of control!"

Gee, ya think? Think you guys may have had anything to do with that? Or are the insane legal wranglings involving naughty heriesses suddenly world-changing, earth-shattering news?

Does it sound naive on my part to say I'm actually stunned? Yeah probably. So never mind. Nonetheless, I'll be gathering my jaw up off of the floor now.

It is more than disgusting that our so called "News Stations" have spent (And are still spending..) ALL this time on this tabloid story. Talk about the 'art of distraction'. The world and our country is going to hell in a hand basket, and ALL the News Organizations have become the Gossip Mongering Smut Tabloid Press of our Age....It is deeply depressing!

This is definitely one more nail in the coffin of the disintrigration and end of the world and our country as we once knew it---Help Us and Save Us!

I loved TV Newser's catch of Katie Couric declaring last month at a Boston media seminar that the name 'Paris Hilton' would never sully the CBS Evening News...a journalistic vow that lasted, oh, until last night.

What's not so funny is watching the TV news (and, lamentably, that paper that's publishing under the name "L.A. Times") race to the bottom.

What IS funny is the fact that, with all their resources and history, they still can't do it as well as TMZ - a website that's a year old.

Why should networks pay big bucks to develop TV shows --when nitwit news gives great half-assery???

I'm 'sympathetic' to Paris' plight --to a point --since she's being a human effigy for every other celeb who got off with a wrist slap...

Buuuuut...

Coooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmeee oooooon...

She can't spend a few days **alone** --without her psycho-fant entourage???

She deserves to be punished, if only for relying on SocietyLeech Elliott Mintz... Anyone who puts their 'trust' in his 'judgement' deserves what they get...

The chick seriously needs a reality check that doesn't bounce --to realize how pharquin' priveleged she is...

Crying out for her Mommy --and temper fitz won't spare her from her appointed RESPONSIBILITY...

As for the news... The whole thing is a PAID for smokescreen --to divert attention from more important issues...

Like WAR...
And DEATH...
And HATE...

:::okay --so I've been known to be a shill for a Rock & Roll band --or four:::

She's just trying to give more texture to round out the book deal --as if anyone really wants to read about her time in stir...

Why didn't anyone find it riotously funny when she begged Ahnold to have her sentence commuted????

Aaaaaah ShowByz...

ain't none like it...

Where's that mile-wide asteroid when you need it?

"This just in: research scientists at Stanford have discovered a cure for cancer. Details later."
