Auction to benefit comic book giant Gene Colan on now!

ColanYou may recall a few weeks back that a journalist and author named Clifford Meth was working diligently behind the scenes to raise money for a comic book industry stalwart named Gene Colan, who was suffering liver failure while carrying no pharmaceutical coverage for the expensive medications necessary to diminish the horrendous complications from his condition.

Good news: not only is Marvel stepping up to the plate to help stem the financial burden, but the artistic community has come through in a big way with an online benefit auction to raise money for Colan's care all weekend long -- coordinated by Meth via his very colorful blog. If you crave exceptionally cool one-of-a-kind signed artwork and comics and books in the name of the worthiest of causes, surf on over and make a bid. Or two.
