In His Own Way, Carson Daly Tells Howie Mandel to Stick It

I'm not a big watcher of Carson Daly's really really late "Last Call with Carson Daly" show (1:35 a.m. on NBC after Conan O'Brien) -- in fact, I don't know that I've ever watched it even once -- but I have to admit I'm intrigued after seeing a little game show parody he and his staff evidently cooked up. It spoofs the "Deal Or No Deals" of the peacock world, and it's so utterly ridiculous that it's kinda brilliant: a short viral-ready video called "Is This a Stick?" that you'll find both here and here.

And just what is "Is This a Stick?"? It's pretty much what the title suggests. For $1 million, host Daly challenges a contestant to correctly guess whether the thing positioned in front of him is a stick or something else (like a toaster). There's much hand-wringing and agonizing. But I mean, hey, identifying sticks is clearly not a task for the mere layman.
