Gay...Blind...Straight...Deaf...It's Really All the Same

And then there was the news anchor who somehow read the word "blind" as "gay" off the TelePrompTer while teasing the story of a certain challenged climber of Mt. Everest. But hey, it's an easy mistake to make. They're spelled and pronounced so similarly, and while one word describes someone who can't see, the other refers to a person who has sex with the same gender. I mean, c'mon, how could she not confuse them? Besides which, I don't know how someone who's gay could even think of climbing a mountain that high.
